Unidentified drones attacked the Progress plant in Michurinsk, one of the largest enterprises in Russia's military-industrial complex. Dozens of drones were also reported over Moscow, according to OSINT channels and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.

Strike on the Progress plant

Reports from Michurinsk say that the Progress plant, one of the largest industrial enterprises in Russia's Tambov region, was hit.

The plant produces equipment for aircraft and missile control systems and also manufactures civilian products, including electrical equipment and products for the oil and gas industry.

Footage of the strikes on the Progress plant filmed by eyewitnesses captures the sound of drones flying overhead, followed by explosions and then a fire breaking out.

Drone attack on Moscow

In addition to the drone raid on the Progress plant, groups of drones were also reported, which Moscow was battling overnight.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin repeatedly reported the interception of dozens of UAVs flying toward the Russian capital.

"The Defense Ministry's air defenses destroyed eight UAVs flying toward Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the site where debris fell," he wrote at around 1 a.m., followed by several similar messages.

Moscow was also targeted by groups of drones recently. Occupied Crimea was also hit that same day.

On May 4, an unidentified drone crashed into a high-rise residential building on Mosfilmovskaya Street in Moscow.

The Progress plant also previously came under attack in Russia. The facility produces components for Shahed drones as well as Iskander-M and Kalibr missiles.
