Ukrainian Defense Forces struck several key targets inside Russia overnight. Among them were the St. Petersburg oil terminal, facilities at the Kronstadt naval base, and an enterprise in Russia's Tambov region, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the president, personnel from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence (HUR), and the State Border Guard Service took part in the overnight operation.
St. Petersburg Oil Terminal
One of the key targets was the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal. According to Zelenskyy, the facility is located about 1,100 kilometers from Ukraine's state border.
The president stressed that the terminal is part of Russia's oil industry, which supports the war effort.

Kronstadt base
The second target was purely military facilities at the Kronstadt naval base.
Plant in the Tambov region
The third target was an enterprise in the Tambov region involved in the production of Russian weapons. The distance from the front line to the facility is nearly 600 kilometers.
"I thank our warriors for their precision. Ukraine’s plan for long-range sanctions is being implemented exactly as needed to bring peace closer," Zelenskyy said.
Drones attacked an oil terminal in the port of St. Petersburg overnight on June 3, causing a large-scale fire. St. Petersburg Oil Terminal is the largest oil handling complex in northwestern Russia.
At around 6 a.m., Leningrad region governor Alexandr Drozdenko reported that 30 drones had been shot down over the region, but the official did not comment on the fire at the port.
