Hezbollah struck Tel Aviv with missiles, casualties reported
The strike targeted the suburbs of the Israeli cities of Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan, injuring 5 people, reports The Times of Israel.
Among the injured is a 54-year-old woman in critical condition. One person sustained moderate injuries, while three others suffered minor wounds.
Israel's air defense system intercepted the missile, but its fragments fell between the suburbs, causing a fire, and damage to buildings, and vehicles.
The IDF confirmed that the rocket was launched from Lebanon.
Earlier, on November 17, two illumination shells landed on the grounds of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea.
These incidents have heightened tensions in the region as Israel continues to face threats from Hezbollah and other groups.
War in Israel
In September, Israel launched a large-scale military operation in Lebanon in response to months of rocket attacks by Hezbollah. These attacks were carried out in support of Hamas and the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.
The operation, conducted by the IDF, inflicted heavy losses on Hezbollah’s leadership and significantly weakened its military capabilities, including its weapons arsenal. According to Lebanon's Ministry of Health, the fighting resulted in hundreds of civilian deaths, and over a million people were forced to flee their homes.
Despite ongoing ceasefire negotiations, the intensity of Israeli attacks increased significantly last week, with expanded airstrikes and ground operations.
