Israeli army strikes Hezbollah facilities in Beirut
On the evening of Saturday, November 16, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a fourth series of strikes on Hezbollah command centers in the Dahieh area, a key stronghold of the terrorist group in Beirut, according to Israel Defense Forces.
Throughout the previous week, Israeli forces targeted around 50 Hezbollah sites in Dahieh, from which the terrorist organization continues to plan and carry out attacks against Israel.
Before the strikes, the IDF took numerous measures to minimize civilian harm, including gathering intelligence, conducting aerial surveillance, and issuing early warnings to residents in the area.
The Israeli military emphasized that Hezbollah systematically places its terrorist infrastructure among Lebanon’s civilian population, cynically using them as human shields.
As an example, the military released a map showing the location of a Hezbollah command post between a university, a mosque, and a school in Dahieh, Beirut.

Additionally, the IDF reported that by 11:30 p.m. (local time) on Saturday, November 16, approximately 80 rockets fired by terrorists had crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon.
Israel-Hezbollah war
Since the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, fighters from the Lebanese Islamic group Hezbollah have begun shelling Israeli territory in support of the Palestinians and in opposition to the Western world.
Since October 1, the IDF has been conducting a ground military operation in southern Lebanon to push enemy forces away from Israel's borders and reduce the number of air attacks on the country.
This week, Herzi Halevi, IDF Chief of the General Staff, reported that reserve forces are withdrawing significant units from southern Lebanon. This follows successful strikes and a reduction in Hezbollah's capabilities in the region.
At the beginning of November, the IDF eliminated around 1,000 Hezbollah fighters in the Gaza Strip and captured nearly the same number. This has dealt a significant blow to the Hamas organization.
Additionally, Israeli forces destroyed Hezbollah warehouses in Syria.
