Head of President's Office on 100-year agreement with UK: The first, but I am sure not the last
The century-long agreement between Ukraine and the UK is the first and historic. However, it is likely not to be the last and will be extended to other countries, according to a comment by Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak during a national telethon live broadcast.
"This is truly a historic moment, a historic day, because for the first time in the history of our independent state, we are signing a century-long agreement that covers all areas of cooperation," he said.
According to Yermak, this is unprecedented and "it once again shows that we are transitioning from cooperation to alliance."
"I believe this agreement is the first, it is historic. But I am sure it will not be the last one(referring to similar agreements not only with the UK - ed.)," stated the head of the President's Office.
UK-Ukraine agreement
On January 16, the United Kingdom and Ukraine signed a 100-year partnership agreement. Its aim is to build strong ties between the two countries across a broad spectrum of relations: from trade, security, and defense to science and technology, education, culture, and more.
In particular, the UK promises to gradually ease entry regulations for Ukrainian citizens. This is outlined in the agreement between the two countries.
