Russia's war against Ukraine is discussed during any international negotiations, including in the dialogue between the US and China, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha tells reporters.
According to the Minister, the issue of Russian aggression is a global one, as its consequences are being felt in various regions of the world.
"The issue of Ukraine is discussed at every meeting, in every region, because the consequences of Russian aggression are being felt in many regions," he notes.
Sybiha emphasizes that many countries have a direct interest in ending the war, particularly major powers and regional players.
In the context of US-China relations, energy issues play an important role, particularly China’s purchase of Russian energy resources.
"Of course, this will be discussed. Regarding the energy resources China purchases from Russia, other factors, and possibly China’s role in the settlement, there are different approaches and perspectives," the Foreign Minister adds.
Negotiation process
Since the beginning of this year, Ukraine, the US, and Russia have already held three rounds of peace talks. The fourth round was scheduled to take place in early March but was postponed due to the start of the US and Israeli operation against Iran.
Western media reports that peace talks regarding Ukraine are currently in a precarious position due to a shift in the US focus.
Additionally, Moscow’s hardline stance on the participation of European countries in the dialogue has come to light. The Kremlin responded to this proposal with profanity.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side and international experts view Russia’s actions with skepticism, noting that Putin never wanted genuine negotiations or a complete end to the war, using diplomacy merely as a tool to avoid sanctions.
