Germany will immediately seek Patriot systems for Ukraine - Foreign Ministry
Germany initiates an immediate search for all available Patriot batteries and other air defense systems not only among allies but also globally, in order to transfer them to Ukraine, announced the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.
According to him, he had a conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, at the Ukraine-NATO Council meeting in Brussels. They discussed Ukraine's air defense.
"I apologized for spoiling the festive mood - NATO's birthday (April 4), but I felt the need to immerse colleagues in the harsh reality of the residents of Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv," he said.
Together with @ABaerbock we have just attended the NATO-Ukraine council meeting in Brussels. Ukraine’s greatest need right now is to urgently strengthen air defense. I thank Germany and other allies for answering the call and taking action right away. pic.twitter.com/wgfs96Mv9k

According to the minister, Germany, as the head of the coalition for air defense within Ramstein, immediately initiates an analysis of all available Patriot battery systems and other air defense systems not only among allies but also globally.
"And what can be done, what combinations to build in order to ensure that these batteries are delivered to Ukraine," the minister added.
Patriot for Ukraine
At the end of February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the transfer of ten Patriot surface-to-air missile systems to Ukraine would have a profound impact on the situation in the war with Russia.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine needs Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and other air defense systems designed to protect lives.
Similarly, on March 27, responding to the shelling of Kharkiv, Zelenskyy questioned why Patriots, of which there are sufficient numbers worldwide, had not yet closed the sky over the regional center.
