Today, February 24, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock arrived in Ukraine on an official visit. She visited Odesa, report the Foreign Ministries of Germany and Ukraine.

"The port of Odesa stands for the resilience of Ukraine. Because it is the lifeline of the world, we are securing the largest terminal operated in Ukraine with federal guarantees. Air defense also creates the space for investment - the success is evident," Baerbock said at a press conference in Odesa.

According to her, Germany will hold a conference in Berlin on Ukraine's reconstruction so that "new things can grow out of suffering and destruction."

"We also want to further expand economic cooperation, because our common future lies in the EU," the German Foreign Minister emphasized.

Visits of politicians to Ukraine to mark the anniversary of the war

Today, the leaders of Canada, Italy, and Belgium arrived in Kyiv on an official visit to mark the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. Together with the President of Ukraine, they visited Gostomel, where some of the first battles of 2022 took place.

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, also arrived in Ukraine along with the Western leaders.

In addition, Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson and former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited Kyiv today.
