General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms strikes on electrical substations in Kursk region
Ukrainian defenders attacked several electrical substations in the Kursk region. These substations were crucial for the operation of the railway, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
According to the General Staff, there is information about the operation of air defense systems in the Kursk region and explosions at the sites of at least four electrical substations.
"As a result, there are disruptions in electricity supply in the Ponyri, Kursk, and Solntsevo districts of the Kursk region," the military command specifies.
The operation was carried out by fighters from the A Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces.
The General Staff emphasized that the Russian industry, which supports the war against Ukraine, is a legitimate target. The substations that were struck are crucial for the operation of the railway used by the Russian forces to transport weapons and military equipment.
"Measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the enemy will continue until the invaders cease their armed aggression against the Ukrainian people," the statement concludes.
