The G7+ coordination group held a meeting in response to Russia's massive overnight strike regarding support for Ukraine's energy sector, according to the Ministry of Energy's Telegram.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian side provided international partners with detailed information about the consequences of the attack, which targeted, in particular, facilities of the oil and gas sector.

More than 100 representatives from various countries and international organizations participated in the meeting, including the United States, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, France, the European Commission, UNDP, EIB, EBRD, and other partners.

"This is an obvious attempt to deprive Ukrainians of light and heat during the autumn-winter period. The Russians have not abandoned their intentions to plunge Ukraine into darkness ahead of the new heating season," said Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak.

According to him, with the intensification of Russian attacks, the need for mobilizing international partners’ support is growing, using tools that have already proven effective and can provide assistance in the shortest possible time.

Representatives of G7+ assured Ukraine of continued support and agreed to hold an additional meeting soon to coordinate further joint actions.
