US President Donald Trump believes that he managed to prevent a nuclear war between Ukraine and Russia, according to the American leader on Truth Social.

Savior from nuclear wars

"I have stopped nuclear wars from breaking out across the world between Pakistan and India, Iran and Israel, and Russia and Ukraine," the US president said.

Military overhaul and new battleships

The American leader also recalled the creation of the Space Force and the modernization of the nuclear arsenal during his first term, and announced a large-scale strengthening of the Navy.

According to Trump, the United States plans to add next-generation battleships to its naval fleet. He claims these vessels will be "100 times more powerful" than those used during World War II.

Putin’s nuclear threats

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons. Russia has also twice struck Ukraine with Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missiles, which are capable of carrying nuclear warheads. The missiles did not have combat warheads.

In particular, in September last year, during a meeting with members of Russia’s Security Council, Putin stated that Russia is ready to respond to "threats from the West" with military force, not only diplomatic statements.

He expressed confidence in the reliability of Russia’s nuclear arsenal and complained about the "degradation of strategic stability" in the world.

As an example of a shift to "military-technical measures," Putin cited Russia’s withdrawal from a unilateral moratorium on the deployment of ground-based intermediate- and shorter-range missiles.
