French companies ready to launch drone production in Ukraine, says Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Noël Barrot. Among the topics discussed was the readiness of French companies to begin drone production in Ukraine, according to Zelenskyy.
As the President reported, he discussed with Barrot defense assistance to Ukraine, particularly the need for air defense systems, military training, and the outcomes of the recent Ramstein meetings.
"We are ready to expand joint defense production. There is a decision by French companies to begin manufacturing drones in Ukraine — and this is highly valuable. We also addressed sanctions against Russia and Ukraine’s EU accession talks," Zelenskyy said.
Drone production in Ukraine
Recently, the Ukrainian company Frontline signed a strategic agreement with the German-Ukrainian drone manufacturer Quantum Systems.
In addition, a French automaker and a defense plant will jointly produce drones on Ukrainian territory. These drones will be supplied not only to Ukrainian forces but also to the French military.
It has also been reported that Ghana is ready to finance drone production for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Moreover, Romania’s Ministry of Defense plans to negotiate a joint drone production agreement with Ukraine, with the intention of selling these drones to other European countries as well.
