US network Fox News, in a segment about successful strikes on targets in Iran, showed footage of Ukrainian interceptor drones as if they were American superweapons supported by AI, according to Wild Hornets developers.

Host Jesse Watters and expert Brett Velikovich discussed the advantages of US artificial intelligence technologies. The expert claimed that AI allowed the US to process intelligence instantly and strike targets in Iran efficiently.

However, to illustrate these "technologically game-changing moments," the network used video footage of the Ukrainian STING interceptor drone.

Reaction of Ukrainian developers

The Wild Hornets team that created this drone said they appreciate international coverage of their technology, but stressed the importance of giving proper credit to the creators.

"The footage shown in this segment features STING — a Ukrainian interceptor drone developed by engineers at Wild Hornets and used by Ukrainian air defense units to destroy Shahed-type drones," the developers emphasized.

They added that creating such a device is the result of years of work by engineers and military personnel, and these achievements should be properly recognized.

Collaboration in the drone sector

Earlier reports revealed that the UK seeks Ukraine’s help against Shahed drones over the Persian Gulf. London is reportedly considering the deployment of new technologies to intercept Shahed drones.

It was also reported that the United States has officially expressed interest in Ukraine’s drone experience. American experts have been analyzing how Ukrainian drones perform in the war and how they counter Iranian threats.

Furthermore, amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Washington has sought consultations with Kyiv. The US aims to gather data on the effectiveness of Ukrainian systems against aerial threats, which could be used to protect the region.
