Fire in Kerch after explosions on August 16: Aftermath
In the temporarily occupied city of Kerch in Crimea, traces of fires have been observed following explosions that occurred overnight on August 16, likely due to airstrikes. Satellite images show the aftermath of these events, according to the Russian edition of Radio Svoboda.

It remains unclear what exactly was burning at the location and what caused the fire.
According to Wikimapia, the fire site is located near an underground water storage tank named Mithridates.
There are also reports, including from the monitoring group of the Telegram channel Crimean Wind, suggesting that a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system may have been stationed on Mount Mithridat and could have been hit or damaged.
Explosions in Crimea on August 16
It is reported that on the night of August 16, explosions were heard in several cities in occupied Crimea, including Sevastopol, Kerch, and Chornomorske.
Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was disrupted due to the attack, and Russian occupiers in Sevastopol and Feodosia reported air defense system activity in response to what was described as a missile and drone attack.
Reports online indicated a purported strike on Mount Mithridat in Kerch, where a Pantsir-S1 air defense complex is located, and where a fire was recorded.
Additionally, explosions were also reported in Kerch, Crimea on the evening of August 16.
