Explosions occurred in occupied Kerch
Explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied city of Kerch in Crimea on the evening of Friday, August 16, according to the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
According to residents, as of 9:55 p.m., about seven sounds similar to explosions were heard in Kerch. At the same time, the authorities of the Crimean peninsula did not announce the danger of shelling.
On the night of August 16, there were reports in the Russian media about the attack on Sevastopol, Kerch, and Chornomorske with drones.
Later, Crimean Wind wrote that a large-scale fire broke out in Kerch after the attack. It is not known where exactly the fire broke out in the city. However, the Crimean Wind does not rule out that the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft system could have been damaged in Kerch.
Night explosions in Crimea
On the night of August 16, the explosions were heard in several cities of the occupied Crimea, including Sevastopol, Kerch, and Chornomorske.
Because of the attack, Russia was forced to block traffic on the Crimean bridge, and its work was resumed only in the morning.
Monitoring channels claimed that there was a hit on Mount Mithridates in Kerch, where the Pantsir-S1 air defense system is located.
