Explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro. An air alarm has been declared across the entire territory of Ukraine, following prior warnings of a possible missile launch, reports Suspilne.

Zaporizhzhia

"In Zaporizhzhia, the sound of an explosion is audible, report correspondents from Suspilne," the publication states.

Dnipro

Correspondents from Suspilne also report an explosion in Dnipro.

Prior to this, the Ukrainian Air Force at 11:45 warned of a potential launch of an X-59 missile in the direction of Dnipro.

Official figures or the Ukrainian military leadership have not commented on the situation in either city at this time.

Air alarm in Ukraine

Around 10:30 in the country, an air alarm was announced. The Air Force reported the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K fighter from the Mozdok airbase, located in the North Caucasus.

Missile attack on Ukraine on the night of December 29

During the night of December 29, the enemy launched the most massive attack against Ukraine. Initially, terrorists targeted Shahed drones, releasing a total of 36 UAVs. Additionally, the enemy launched dozens of missiles during the attack. The terrorists employed 158 aerial attack assets against Ukraine. The air defense system successfully destroyed 114 targets.

Today, on December 30, it became known that the number of casualties due to the strikes on Zaporizhzhia has risen to 9.
