Powerful explosions were reported in Russia's Bryansk region on the evening of January 13. The network reports an attack on a chemical plant that produces gunpowder, explosives, and solid fuel components for rocket fuel, according to the ASTRA Telegram channel and Andriy Kovalenko, head of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly struck the Bryansk Chemical Plant named after the 50th anniversary of the USSR in Seltso with ATACMS missiles.

This company has already been attacked by Ukraine. It belongs to the Techmash holding company, which fulfills state defense orders.

According to Kovalenko, the Bryansk Chemical Plant specializes in the production of gunpowder, solid fuel components for rocket fuel and explosives.

It is important for the production of artillery ammunition and missiles for the Russian army and is one of the key elements of the Russian military industry.

Kovalenko highlighted that explosions were also reported at the Kremniy plant in Bryansk, which manufactures microelectronics for missile systems like Iskander and Pantsir, as well as radar systems, electronic warfare equipment, and drones. This facility had previously been attacked in October.

The Bryansk chemical plant was previously targeted by drones in April 2024. The attack caused a fire in an unfinished building. At the same time, a drone pierced the roof of another building.
