In the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, a series of explosions occurred this evening, October 16. Regional authorities are reporting a drone attack, reports the Governor of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
"Three drones were downed in the Belgorod district and the Yakovlevsky city district, according to preliminary information, with no casualties or damages reported," stated Gladkov.
Explosions in Belgorod region
In the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, there have been regular explosions since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Recall that on the night of October 15, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that drones had allegedly attacked the Belgorod and Kursk regions. Russians traditionally accused Ukraine of this. At the same time, Shoigu stated that the attack had supposedly been successfully repelled. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that air defense systems intercepted 27 drones.
Furthermore, on October 12, explosions occurred in Belgorod, resulting in a fire and several people getting injured.
