European officials are preparing for the possibility that the United States may completely halt its assistance to Ukraine, Financial Times reports.

An unnamed European official told the publication that there are concerns among European countries that Trump, "in frustration," may halt support for Ukraine.
"That's a scenario we are obviously planning for," he said.

Against this backdrop, European diplomats expect a series of meetings between officials from France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Possible participants may also include leaders of Poland and Finland, as well as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

"We are trying to come up with something that flies as a counteroffer," the unnamed European diplomat added.

Earlier, Trump stated that Zelenskyy would either have to accept the US peace plan or continue fighting.

US peace plan

Last week, it became known that the United States had prepared a plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine.

Western media reported that the plan was developed by US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff together with Kirill Dmitriev, an envoy of the Russian leader.

The plan stipulates that Ukraine would have to make significant concessions. In particular, it would be barred from joining NATO. The plan also includes a provision for the complete transfer of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions under Russian control.

Yesterday, on November 23, talks between the Ukrainian and US delegations on the peace plan took place in Geneva. After the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said there were signals that Washington had heard Kyiv's position.

More details on the results of the talks are available in the RBC-Ukraine report.
