Estonia will contribute €150,000 to Ukraine's Energy Support Fund. The country's total aid to this sector now amounts to €620,000, according to the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna announced during his visit to Kyiv today that Estonia will transfer €150,000 to Ukraine's Energy Support Fund.

It is noted that with this latest contribution, Estonia's total support for the fund reaches €620,000. The funds will help restore Ukraine's energy system, repair key facilities, and ensure gas supplies ahead of the winter season.

"By attacking power stations, gas facilities, and railways, and killing innocent civilians, Russia aims to plunge Ukrainians into darkness and cold this winter. These attacks are not merely acts of war—they are acts of terror against the Ukrainian people. Russia is trying to destroy Ukraine's economy, make everyday life unbearable, and break the spirit of its people," said Tsahkna.

He noted that repairing Ukraine's energy infrastructure is a long-term process.

"The constant attacks on repair crews make restoration efforts extraordinarily difficult. To enable their work, Ukraine urgently needs more air defence and military assistance to protect what remains of its infrastructure," the Estonian Foreign Minister said.

According to him, Estonian companies are looking for opportunities to provide additional energy supplies free of charge, while the European Union is tightening sanctions against Russia.

"As Ukraine faces its fourth wartime winter, Estonia’s support remains unwavering. We stand with Ukraine - for freedom, resilience, and victory," Tsahkna emphasized.

Estonia's aid for Ukraine

It was recently reported that Estonia will allocate 10 million euros to NATO's PURL initiative. Under this program, Ukraine will receive US-made weapons funded by partner countries.

In addition, Estonia will continue providing military aid to Ukraine at a level of at least 0.25% of its GDP — over 100 million euros. Most of this amount will be directed through products made by Estonian companies.
