Estonia allocates €100 million in military aid for Ukraine

Estonia, as it did this year, will continue providing military aid to Ukraine at a minimum level of 0.25% of GDP — over €100 million. The majority of this amount will be directed through products from Estonian companies.
This was announced by Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, according to the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Defense.
"Estonia will continue to firmly support Ukraine in Russia’s aggressive war. Next year, we will adhere to the principle that 0.25% of our GDP will go to aid Ukraine. We base this on Ukraine’s military needs, and Estonian defense industry enterprises will also play an important role next year," he said.
The minister also added that Estonia will continue training Ukrainians and supporting IT solutions in Ukraine's defense sector.
Estonia's aid to Ukraine
Estonia has provided Ukraine with over €500 million in military aid — equivalent to 1.4% of its GDP — placing the country among the world leaders in contributions relative to the size of its economy.
The assistance includes Javelin missiles, howitzers and other artillery, anti-tank weapons, mortars, transport vehicles, communications equipment, field hospitals (in coordination with Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Iceland), medical supplies, protective gear, and rations.
Since the start of the full-scale war, Estonia has trained over 1,500 Ukrainian service members and, together with Luxembourg in 2023, created an IT coalition to build a secure ICT infrastructure for the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to NATO standards.
Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas stated that Tallinn is ready to contribute to the deterrence forces of the Coalition of the Willing, being formed by the UK and France to provide security guarantees to Ukraine.
