Emotional farewell to Ozzy Osbourne in UK: Photos and video

A farewell ceremony for legendary rock musician and lead singer of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, took place in the British city of Birmingham.

What is known about Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral
On July 30, thousands of people gathered in the musician’s hometown to say goodbye to the rock music legend. The coffin, accompanied by family members, was carried through the city streets.
The procession first stopped at the Black Sabbath Bridge, where fans had been leaving flowers, photos, and farewell notes in honor of the rocker for several days.
According to reports, Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, children Jack, Aimee, and Kelly, as well as his grandchildren, stepped out of the vehicles and approached the memorial.

The farewell ceremony wouldn’t have been complete without live music. A local brass band performed the hit song Iron Man.
The coffin was adorned with purple flowers spelling out Ozzy's name, and fans threw flowers at the hearse as it passed by.

A particularly touching moment came with the support shown for Sharon Osbourne, who had lost her beloved.
"We love you, Sharon!" fans shouted as she stepped forward.
Ozzy’s wife couldn’t hold back tears as she laid flowers in memory of her husband. Struggling to stand, she was supported by their children, Kelly and Jack.
The entire family was dressed in black. As a final gesture, they gave fans the peace sign.
Following the public ceremony, Ozzy Osbourne is to be laid to rest at a private funeral.
What is known about Ozzy Osbourne’s death
The rock legend passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. In his final years, he battled Parkinson’s disease and complications from spinal surgeries.
As his health declined, he made the decision to retire from music. However, he gave one final farewell concert in Birmingham, where he reunited with the band Black Sabbath.
