Elon Musk sets to interview Trump live on X platform
American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk announced in his post on X social media that he would interview Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Monday, August 12.
Musk wrote that the interview was scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern Time (00:00 Tuesday GMT) and would be broadcast live on X. The billionaire also stated that the conversation would be “unscripted with no limits on the subject matter,” so it “should be highly entertaining,” and also made a call for “specific questions and comments."
Reuters underlines that this upcoming interview “could inject more surprises into the turbulent U.S. presidential election.”
Media adds this interview with Musk may allow Trump “to reach a different audience” because the usual GOP nominee’s supporters are representing conservatives who “attend his rallies and watch his interviews on Fox News.”
Trump trying to chase Harris
After incumbent US President Joe Biden stepped aside from the presidential campaign, Trump started to lose Americans' support sharply.
Trump's campaign began to discredit Kamala Harris, a Democratic presidential nominee and current US vice president, creating a negative image for voters.
However, Trump’s campaign has not reached its goals. The latest survey says Harris takes the lead with 5% against Trump.
