Trump team's negative image of Harris: Expert on Republican tactics
The Trump team was initially disoriented in the early days following Harris's nomination, but they are now leveraging her involvement in the current administration, according to the President of the Transatlantic Dialogue Center, Maksym Skrypchenko, for RBC-Ukraine article "Kamala Harris’s honeymoon: What reignited drama in US presidential race."
According to him, Republicans were undeniably confused. At first, they equated Biden with Harris, suggesting that they were two of a kind.
"That is, she is already the current vice president and is responsible for all the mistakes of the administration. But there were no specific things to cling to. All these unsuccessful jabs by Trump are evidence of a lack of strategy," Skrypchenko said.
The expert points out that one of the main lines of attack against the candidate will continue to be her failures within the current President's team. Republicans have ordered a lot of targeted advertising that highlights her missteps and continue to associate Harris with all the foreign and domestic policy blunders of the Biden administration.
"They are also constantly trying to emphasize that she has no foreign policy experience, no broad understanding of the situation, and cannot make decisions on her own," the expert said.
US presidential election
Kamala Harris became the Democratic successor in the race for the US presidency after the current President, Joe Biden, announced that he would not run for a second term. The Democrats' opponent is former President Donald Trump, who represents the Republican Party.
According to the latest poll, Harris and Trump have equal chances of winning the presidential election in key states.
It was reported today that Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will face off in a debate on ABC News in early September.
