Drones hit key sites in Moscow and Rostov in overnight attack

On the night of July 4, facilities in the Moscow and Rostov regions came under drone attack, including the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant, reports Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.
According to him, the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant produces critical components for the Russian military:
- scopes,
- rangefinders,
- thermal imaging devices,
- fire control systems for tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, ships, and even aircraft.
"This is where the 'eyes' for Russian armored vehicles are assembled," he added.
Strikes on Russian territory
Attacks on infrastructure inside Russia — including factories, oil refineries, and military sites — have been occurring with increasing frequency. These attacks are often linked to the activities of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the Defense Intelligence (HUR), or other Ukrainian defense forces.
These strikes aim to weaken Russia’s economy, disrupt fuel supply logistics, reduce industrial capacity, and place additional strain on Russia’s air defense systems.
Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have struck several targets on Russian territory, including a gunpowder plant in the Tambov region.
