Explosions rock Moscow and Rostov suburbs as Russia reports drone strikes

On the night of July 4, Russian authorities reported drone attacks on several settlements in the Rostov region and the Sergiyev Posad district near Moscow, according to the acting governor of the Rostov region, Yury Slyusar.
In the Rostov region, drone strikes targeted several cities. In the city of Azov, according to the governor, several cars were damaged, windows in residential buildings were shattered, and debris from one of the drones fell on a local stadium.
In the village of Dolotinka, according to Russian officials, a drone destroyed a multi-story residential building - a floor slab collapsed, killing an elderly woman. Twenty residents were evacuated from the building.
Meanwhile, the head of the Sergiyev Posad district, Oksana Yerokhanova, reported drone attacks in the Moscow region as well. According to residents, at least four explosions were heard in the Zvezdochka district, and around 5 a.m. local time, the sound of drone engines was reported. As a result of the attack, authorities say a power substation was damaged.
Defense Forces' attacks
Several weeks ago, Ukrainian forces carried out strikes on various targets inside Russian territory. Among the targets hit by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was a gunpowder plant in the Tambov region.
In addition, explosions occurred near an ammunition depot of the 106th Airborne Division in the Kursk region and at a depot at the Buturlinovka airfield in the Voronezh region.
