In Russia, unidentified drones attacked two facilities overnight, the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region and the Gorky oil pumping station in the Nizhny Novgorod region, according to OSINT sources.
Gorky oil pumping station
The Gorky oil pumping station is a key facility in Transneft’s Verkhnyaya Volga division. It functions as a main/intermediate station, ensuring the transportation of oil via pipelines (including the Surgut–Gorky–Polotsk pipeline), and has one of the largest tank farms in Russia.
The pumping station primarily pumps oil to domestic routes, including the Lukoil refinery in Kstovo.
Novokuybyshevsk refinery
Local authorities have confirmed an attack on the Novokuybyshevsk refinery, one of the largest oil refineries in the Volga region, part of the Rosneft Group.
Launched in 1951, this refinery became one of the first Soviet enterprises to produce jet fuel and rocket and automotive oils.
Its current refining capacity is 8–9 million tons of crude oil per year.
The Novokuybyshevsk refinery produces all types of fuel: automotive, aviation, and marine; oil components, bitumen, coke, and petrochemical products.

In addition to the above, the Novokuybyshevsk Petrochemical Complex in the Samara region was attacked last night in Russia. A fire broke out there.
In Russia, following the drone attack, operations were halted at two oil refineries owned by Rosneft. These are the Tuapse and Novokuybyshevsk refineries.
On the night of April 22, drones attacked the Russian city of Syzran in the Samara region. Explosions were heard at the local refinery.
