Strikes on Russian territory with long-range Western weapons
This week, the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, and Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov are meeting with representatives of the Biden administration, aiming to persuade the United States to lift restrictions on the use of American weapons for strikes on Russian territory.
Umerov did not disclose any information regarding permission for strikes on Russia following his meeting with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. The Pentagon also did not comment on this matter.
On August 31, Umerov stated that the Biden administration is still considering his request to lift restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range weapons for deep strikes into Russian territory.
