In Russia's Tver region, a fire broke out at the Konakovo Condensation Power Station following a drone attack, according to the Russian media and telegram channels.

Local Russian authorities are once again reporting the downing of drones without disclosing any details about possible strikes or their consequences. According to the governor of the Tver region, air defense forces reportedly shot down five UAVs.

Meanwhile, residents of the area have been posting photos and videos of a massive fire at the Konakovo Power Station. Witnesses claim the blaze began after the drone attack.

In the Moscow region, the Kashira Power Plant is burning following a drone strike.

ASTRA reports two fires following a drone attack in the Tver region — one at the Konakovo Power Station and another at a gas distribution station located a few kilometers away. Videos from residents confirm this.

The drone strike in Konakovo, Tver region, ignited a fire at the local power station and the Konakovo gas distribution station (GDS), which is part of the main gas pipeline KDMO-Konakovo.

Additionally, during the night of September 1, drones attacked Moscow. According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, air defense forces intercepted four UAVs heading toward the capital.

On August 28, a strike targeted the Atlas oil depot in the Rostov region, causing a major fire at the refinery.

Strikes on Russian territory with long-range Western weapons

This week, the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, and Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov have been meeting with representatives of the Biden administration, aiming to persuade the United States to lift restrictions on using American-supplied weapons for strikes on Russian territory.

After meeting with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Umerov did not disclose any details regarding permission for strikes on Russia. The Pentagon has also declined to comment on the matter.

Yesterday, August 31, Umerov stated that the Biden administration is still considering his request to lift restrictions on Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons to conduct strikes deep into Russian territory.
