Drone strikes hit city near Kyiv: First images emerge from Berezan

Two people were injured in the city of Berezan, Kyiv region, overnight as a result of a Russian drone attack, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES). Emergency responders released footage from the scene showing the aftermath of the strike.
According to rescuers, a fire broke out at a private residence in Berezan overnight and was extinguished. The fire was caused by falling debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle.
“Two people were found at the scene and received medical assistance,” emergency workers stated.
It is worth noting that earlier, officials in the Kyiv region had reported two people injured in the region as a result of a Russian drone attack late the previous evening. The specific locality was not disclosed, but it was reported to have occurred in the Brovary district.
Massive air attack on the night of May 24
As a reminder, on the evening of Friday, May 23, the movement of attack drones was recorded heading toward the capital, and Shahed drones were spotted in the Kyiv region. Amid the drone attack, explosions were heard in Kyiv and the region, and air defense systems were activated.
Later, it was reported that debris from downed enemy UAVs had fallen in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, where a fire broke out. In addition, two people were reported injured in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region due to the drone attack.
During the "second wave" of the overnight air assault involving drones and ballistic missiles, more explosions were heard in Kyiv, and air defense forces continued to operate actively. Debris from enemy aerial targets was reported to have fallen in several districts, and information emerged about eight people being injured.
In the morning, the State Emergency Service reported on the response efforts in Kyiv and released photos from the scene.
