Explosions heard in Kyiv: Air defense systems active

An air raid alert was declared this evening, May 23, in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine. Residents of the capital reported hearing explosions, according to the air raid alert map, the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram, and Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko on Telegram.
As of 10:05 PM Kyiv time, air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions.
"Air defense is operating against drones in the capital. Please stay in safe locations," wrote Tkachenko.
Update at 10:12 PM Kyiv time
According to Tkachenko, debris from an enemy drone fell in an open area in Kyiv. Further details are being clarified.
Update at 10:20 PM
Tkachenko clarified that in the Holosiivskyi district, a car was damaged due to falling debris. No fire was reported.
Update at 10:30 PM
The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration added that as a result of the attack, four cars and the windows of a building were damaged. No casualties were reported.
Drone attack
This evening, May 23, Russian forces launched attack drones against Ukraine.
Drone groups have so far been recorded:

in the Sumy region, heading toward the Chernihiv region;

in the Chernihiv region, flying toward the Kyiv region;

in the eastern part of the Kyiv region, heading west;

in the Kirovohrad region, heading toward the Cherkasy region;

in the eastern part of the Dnipropetrovsk region, moving north;

in the Kherson region, heading toward the Mykolaiv region;
-
in the Mykolaiv region, moving west.
Notably, today, May 23, Russia also struck Odesa with ballistic missiles. At least two people were killed as a result.
