Russia may have received powerful M1991 multiple rocket launcher systems from North Korea. Still, the Russian army can strike Kharkiv not only with these systems, says Evhenii Romanov, Spokesperson for the Kharkiv Operational Military Group, in a national telethon.

As Romanov states, Russia's weapons received from North Korea do pose a certain threat. However, the Ukrainian military noted that Russia already possesses other long-range systems capable of striking Kharkiv.

"I remind you that the Russian terrorists have long-range multiple rocket launcher systems such as 'Uragan,' 'Smerch,' and 'Tornado,' which can also reach Kharkiv from the Belgorod region. Therefore, I believe this threat is somewhat exaggerated, but it does exist," Romanov emphasized.

North Korea's participation in war

North Korea has started to provide aid to Russia in its war against Ukraine. Approximately 10,000 North Korean soldiers have been sent to Russia, along with ammunition and ballistic missiles. According to media reports, North Korea has supplied Russia with long-range missile and artillery systems.

Earlier, Ukraine's Defense Forces informed that North Korean soldiers had already participated in combat operations in the Kursk region of Russia.

As recently reported, North Korea might have sent its powerful M1991 multiple rocket launcher systems to Russia. These systems can hit targets at a distance of up to 60 kilometers.
