More than 11,000 DPRK troops are already stationed in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. North Korean troops have already participated in battles against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, says the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatolii Barhylevych.
In addition to the fact that North Korean soldiers have already been recorded fighting with Ukrainian soldiers, Barhylevych told us who they are. We are talking directly about the DPRK troops that are stationed in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
“These are mostly general military units. They are disguised as indigenous people of the Far East. They have the appropriate documents. They are trained to conduct operations in the European part,” said the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DPRK troops in Russia
In late October, the media began to report that the DPRK had sent its military to participate on the side of Russia in the war against Ukraine.
In particular, on October 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that three thousand North Korean soldiers were already on the territory of Russia that day. He added that their number would soon increase significantly, which is exactly what happened.
On Tuesday, November 19, Zelenskyy said that the number of North Korean troops stationed in Russia had reached 11,000 and could grow to 100,000.
