On the morning of Saturday, August 9, explosions were heard in Dnipro. An air raid alert was declared in the region, according to the Air Force and local media.

At around 05:49 Kyiv time, the Air Forces warned about a high-speed target heading toward Dnipro.

"A high-speed target on course to Dnipro," the message said.

Just a few minutes later, local media reported that explosions were heard in Dnipro. As of 06:00, there were no reports of damage or casualties.

Night attack by Russia

Last night, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones from several directions. It is now confirmed that the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region was targeted.

According to preliminary information, drones struck one of the remote neighborhoods of the city. As a result of the UAV strike, two people were injured, and a multi-apartment building was damaged.

There were also reports of a strike on the Balakliia community. There, the drones targeted the central part of the city, with several impact points recorded.

One hit struck a private residential property, and another struck a non-residential building.
