On the night of May 17, Russian units once again attacked Dnipro with drones. As a result of the enemy strikes, fires broke out in the city, and people were injured, according to a Telegram post by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at 23:41 Kyiv time, a whole group of Russian strike drones was heading toward Dnipro. About 20 minutes later, Oleksandr Hanzha confirmed that several fires had broken out as a result of the attack. In addition, a private house caught fire.

In his morning report, the head of the Regional Military Administration clarified that the number of injured had increased.

"Two men, aged 50 and 60, sought medical help. They were provided with the necessary assistance. Both will be treated on an outpatient basis," the statement reads.

Hanzha also clarified in his morning post that as a result of the night attack, an industrial facility and private houses were damaged in the city.

Attacks on Dnipro

For context, Russian forces regularly attack Dnipro. On April 30, for example, Russian units struck the suburbs. One person was killed, and another was injured. In addition, a shop and a car caught fire.

On the night of April 25 and throughout the day, the enemy attacked Dnipro for more than 20 hours. Specifically, Russian units deliberately targeted residential areas using drones and missiles.
