This morning, April 30, Russian forces attacked the suburbs of Dnipro with a strike drone, causing a fire. There is one confirmed fatality and one person injured, according to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

"Russia attacked the Dnipro district. A fire broke out. Information about casualties is being verified," Hanzha says.

He later reports that one person was killed and another was injured as a result of the Russian attack on the Dnipro district. A nearby store and several cars also caught fire due to the Russian strike.

According to Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov, a bus caught fire at the site of the Russian strike.

Shortly before the report of the Russian strikes, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of a threat from attack drones in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Casualties rises

Hanzha later reported that four casualties had been confirmed in the Dnipro district.

"Three have been hospitalized. A 65-year-old man is in critical condition. Two women, aged 43 and 54, are in moderate condition. A 59-year-old man was treated at the scene," the head of the Regional Military Administration notes.

According to him, rescue workers contained the fire caused by the Russian attack.

As of 12:23 p.m. Kyiv time, 11 people are known to have been wounded in the Russian attack on the Dnipro district.

"Five of them have been hospitalized. One man is in critical condition. The rest of the wounded are in moderate condition," adds Hanzha

Russian strikes on Dnipro and the region

Russian troops attack communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region daily, and Dnipro is also frequently targeted by Russian strikes.

On April 17, Russia launched a massive strike on the Dnipropetrovsk region, over 20 attacks with drones, artillery, and missiles. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a fire broke out at the site where a transport company was hit.

In addition, on April 15, two children, a three-year-old and an 18-month-old boy, were injured as a result of a Russian strike on Dnipro. A 38-year-old woman was also injured. She was hospitalized, and her condition is assessed as moderate.

Russian attack also caused fires, and an office building and a garage caught fire. The fire was successfully extinguished. Damage was also reported to nearby vehicles.
