The European Commission will present a report on November 4 on the progress of Ukraine and other candidate countries in joining the European Union, according to Rikard Jozwiak, editor for European affairs at Radio Liberty, on Twitter.

Ukrainian forces halt Russian advance north of Pokrovsk, block key road takeover
Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their operation to clear Pokrovsk of Russians. Ukrainian units stopped Russia's advance in the north of the city and prevented the cutting off of an important road connecting Pokrovsk with Rodynske, according to the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the paratroopers, active clearing of the northern part of Pokrovsk is currently underway. Thanks to the coordinated actions of Ukrainian units, it was possible to halt Russia's expansion in this area and prevent the road connecting Pokrovsk and Rodynske from being cut off.
UK transfers additional Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine - Bloomberg
The government of the United Kingdom has delivered a new batch of Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine to ensure the continuation of strikes on military targets within Russian territory during the winter, according to Bloomberg.
According to the media outlet, the delivery was made in an unspecified quantity, but its goal is to guarantee that Ukraine maintains a stockpile of high-precision weapons during a period when London expects intensified Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Chinese oil refiners have begun to refuse to purchase Russian oil after the US and other Western countries imposed sanctions on leading Russian producers and some of their customers.
Even smaller private refineries are temporarily halting purchases for fear of being sanctioned, as happened with Shandong Yulong Petrochemical Co., which was recently restricted by the UK and the EU.
