Ukrainian forces are recording signs of the Russian army preparing for new offensive actions in the areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, according to the Skhid Joint Forces Group on Facebook.
The military noted that the situation in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration remains difficult, as before.
"Signs indicate the enemy is preparing to intensify offensive operations by deploying accumulated reserves. The enemy is increasing airstrikes and the employment of other fire assets," they said.
The Skhid Joint Forces Group added that over the past month, defenders of the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration have killed or wounded more than 1,000 Russian soldiers.
Additionally, the following were destroyed or damaged:
-
38 artillery pieces and mortars
-
4 armored vehicles
-
5 ground robotic systems
-
84 units of automotive and motorized equipment
Situation in the Pokrovsk area
A few weeks ago, Roman Pysarenko, head of the communications division of the 79th Air Assault Brigade, stated that Russia had concentrated a force of around 150,000 servicemen in the Pokrovsk direction.
The main hotspot of clashes has become the northern part of Pokrovsk, where the Russian troops have resorted to a tactic of exhausting assaults with small infantry groups.
