Russian troops are intensifying their assaults on Hryshyne near Pokrovsk, attempting to use small groups and bad weather for cover, according to the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

"Gathering in the northwestern part of Pokrovsk, Russia is increasingly directing its infantry towards Hryshyne," the military says.

In particular, Russian troops are attempting to storm a settlement near Pokrovsk from the east, north, and south, acting in small groups and trying to infiltrate between the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In addition, the Russians are trying to develop a further offensive in Pokrovsk. Russian troops are using infantry assault groups supported by unmanned systems, and clashes with the Russians continue in some areas of the northern part of the city.

Fighting around Pokrovsk

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Russia is pulling up reserves to the Pokrovsk area and trying to break through with small assault groups.

Russian troops carried out a mechanized assault on the village of Hryshyne in the Pokrovsk direction. Ukrainian defenders repelled the Russian attack, destroying some of Russia's armored vehicles and manpower, although fighting in the area continued.

Earlier in Pokrovsk, Ukrainian troops destroyed a self-propelled artillery unit of Russian paratroopers, which allowed them to thwart the Russians' preparations for an assault on Hryshyne.

Near Pokrovsk, Ukrainian troops were rescued from Russian captivity thanks to aerial reconnaissance and strike drones.
