Declarative ceasefire: Russia attacked Sumy region hundreds of times, casualties reported

Russia has launched a large-scale assault on Ukraine’s Sumy region over the past two days, despite the Kremlin’s declared truce, states Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

Russia's 'ceasefire'
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a new ceasefire from May 8 to 11, timed for Victory Day.
However, despite this, hostilities continued over the past 24 hours: Russian forces are pressing forward on all fronts, and the number of attacks has increased.
The US Embassy in Ukraine has warned of a high probability of a large-scale airstrike on Ukraine in the near future.
According to Reuters, the US and the European Union have proposed a new 30-day ceasefire, with the possibility of announcing it in the coming hours. If rejected, new severe sanctions will be imposed on Russia.
