Death toll from Russian missile strike in Zaporizhzhia rises
The number of fatalities from Russia's missile strike on Zaporizhzhia on December 10 has increased to nine. Another 22 people were injured, including a child, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
"Already a day has passed since the rescue operation began. It is still ongoing, and the debris is being cleared, as our residents are still trapped under the rubble," said Fedorov.
According to him, the enemy attack on the city center has already claimed 9 lives. Despite the efforts of doctors, another injured person, a 74-year-old man, died in the hospital.
It is also known that 22 people have been injured, including a 5-year-old girl.
Attack on Zaporizhzhia
Yesterday, December 10, Russian troops launched a missile strike on the center of Zaporizhzhia. Later, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that Russia targeted a private hospital, causing the building to be destroyed and damaging nearby buildings.
According to preliminary data, 20 residential and three non-residential buildings were damaged as a result of the enemy shelling. Earlier reports mentioned seven deaths and 22 injuries.
At night, rescuers at the site of the strike managed to free two women from the rubble, who had been trapped for over seven hours.
