Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia city center: Death toll rises, more people under rubble
The death toll in Zaporizhzhia has risen as a result of yesterday's Russian attack on the city center. There are still people under the rubble, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
As of now, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, there are:
- 7 killed;
- 22 wounded.
According to preliminary data, Russian shelling damaged:
- 20 residential buildings
- 3 non-residential buildings.
“More than 160 people and fifty pieces of equipment are involved in eliminating the consequences of the Russian attack,” Fedorov writes.
Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia city center
Yesterday, December 10, the Russians launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia city center. Later, Fedorov said that Russia hit a private hospital, destroying the building and damaging nearby buildings.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reacted to the Russian shelling. He noted that each such Russian attack only proves the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
At night, rescuers at the site of the Russian strike unblocked 2 women who had been trapped under the rubble for over 7 hours.
