In Zaporizhzhia, two women were rescued from under the rubble this afternoon, December 10, following a Russian missile strike. They had been trapped for more than seven hours, reports the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

According to rescuers, the two women called the emergency service hotline 101 during the search-and-rescue operation. They informed the rescuers that they were trapped beneath the rubble of a destroyed building.

"During the conversation, rescuers professionally gathered details to pinpoint their exact location," the SES stated.

Emergency crews used specialized equipment to free the women.

"The women remained under the debris for over seven hours, waiting for help. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the rescuers, they were extracted from the trap and handed over to medics. After being examined by emergency medical teams, both women were hospitalized," the SES reported.

The Russian strike on a private clinic in central Zaporizhzhia killed four people in total. Another 21 individuals were injured, including one child.

"One of the injured later died in the hospital. SES units rescued four individuals. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing," the SES added.
