One more body recovered from rubble in Zaporizhzhia: Consequences of Russian attack
In Zaporizhzhia, where the Russian army struck the city center, the body of another victim was retrieved from the rubble. At least six people remain trapped under the debris, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, as of 8:00 PM Kyiv time, the following information was known:
- 3 dead;
- 1 person successfully resuscitated;
- 16 people were hospitalized (9 women, 7 men), most of them in critical condition;
- The number of injured has risen to 20.
He also noted that at least six people remain under the rubble, and contact has been made with some of them.
As a result of the Russian strike, the building of a private clinic, where doctors and patients were present, was damaged. Additionally, windows and roofs of residential buildings were destroyed. Partial damage also occurred to a school and an extracurricular institution.
"Rescuers, utility services, and medical teams continue to work. The rubble clearance will take another 5–7 hours," Fedorov said.
Nearly 50 State Emergency Service (SES) rescuers, municipal rescue teams, police units, and emergency medical services are involved at the scene.
Strike on Zaporizhzhia on December 10
The Russian army struck the city of Zaporizhzhia today around 3:00 PM Kyiv time. According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, the Russian army hit a private hospital building, which was destroyed. Nearby buildings were also damaged.
Later, he clarified that as a result of the enemy strike, three people were killed. However, Fedorov later confirmed that doctors managed to resuscitate one of the victims who had initially been declared dead during the search operation.
