Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mette Frederiksen laid flowers at the graves of Ukrainian soldiers on the Mars Field of Lychakiv Cemetery. They also honored the memory of an unknown Armed Forces soldier who died in 2022 and was buried in Lviv.

"We will never forget the heroes who defended our independence, freedom, and future. Eternal glory to all those who gave their lives for Ukraine!" the President writes on Telegram.

Lychakiv Military Cemetery is a military burial ground in Lviv. Since April 2022, servicemen and servicewomen who died during the Russian-Ukrainian war have been buried at the cemetery's Mars Field.

Assistance to Ukraine from Denmark

The other day, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that Ukraine could not win the war without weapons, and the world should speed up and increase support.

"We should support you much more because Ukraine cannot win a war without weapons. Words are not enough," she emphasized.

Already on February 18, the day after the announcement, Denmark decided to transfer all of its artillery to Ukraine, and on February 22, the Danish government announced a new military aid package to Ukraine worth almost $250 million. In addition, Denmark announced the signing of a 10-year security guarantee agreement with Ukraine.

Denmark, along with the Netherlands, led an aviation coalition to train Ukrainian pilots on American F-16 fighters. These countries have special flight simulators. Just today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed a video of Ukrainian pilots training on F-16s in Denmark.
