Russian drones were shot down in the Kyiv region on the night of January 18. The attack resulted in damage, report the National Police and Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

According to local authorities, the enemy attacked the Kyiv region using drones. The air alert lasted for almost eight hours. The region's air defense forces were active, shooting down enemy targets.

There were no casualties among the population, nor any hits to critical or residential infrastructure.

However, in two districts of the Kyiv region, debris damaged three private houses, two outbuildings, and four cars. The buildings' facades and roofs were damaged, and windows were shattered.

Investigators, forensic specialists, and bomb disposal experts from the Kyiv region police are working at the scene.

Russia’s January 18 attack on Ukraine

During the night, the occupiers launched a combined attack on Ukraine, firing four ballistic missiles and 39 drones. Air defense forces shot down two missiles and 24 drones, while another 14 enemy drones used for location imitation were lost.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the downed ballistic missiles fell in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv. As a result of the attack, there were fatalities and injuries.

In the Lukianivka area of Kyiv, the metro station, buildings, cars, and water supply were damaged. A photo report by RBC-Ukraine shows what Lukiavka looks like after the Russian attack.

The Russians also struck Zaporizhzhia, with reports of 10 injured, and two people are still missing.
