Ignazio Cassis, a member of the Swiss Federal Council, said that China should be involved in efforts to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, according to Reuters.
"China plays a significant role. We must find ways to work with China on this," Cassis said.
China was not represented at the meeting of national security advisors on the eve of the World Economic Forum in Davos, where more than 80 officials met.
This is the fourth such meeting organized by Ukraine, which, according to Cassis, should pave the way for talks between Moscow and Kyiv to end the war.
"A peace for the Ukrainian people is urgently necessary... We must do everything to end this war," Cassis said.

As a reminder, the media reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy might visit Switzerland and take part in the International Economic Forum. The Ukrainian president will come to the Swiss capital, Bern. The visit may last at least two days.
Later, World Economic Forum President Berge Brende confirmed Zelenskyy's visit. It also became known that the Ukrainian leader would deliver a special address.
