Trump: European leaders may be invited to meeting with Putin and Zelenskyy

European leaders may also take part in the potential meeting between US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the US leader stated this while speaking to journalists.
Trump noted that tomorrow he will have an important meeting with Putin, as the US plans to "save many lives." According to the US leader, he wants to save thousands of soldiers who are "dying every week."
"I think it's (the meeting with Putin – ed.) going to be a good meeting, but the more important meeting will be the second meeting that we're having. We're going to have a meeting with President Putin, President Zelenskyy, myself, and maybe we'll bring some of the European leaders along. Maybe not."
The US president believes that Zelenskyy and Putin will be able to reach a peace agreement.
Europe’s participation in the peace process
Earlier, Western media reported rumors that US President Donald Trump does not plan to give Europe a seat at the negotiating table to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Journalists’ sources specified that he wants to organize a trilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The European Commission, responding to such rumors, emphasized that the format of the talks has not yet been determined, so it is unknown whether European leaders will take part.
Notably, just recently, EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarína Mathernová stressed that Trump and Putin cannot determine the future of Ukraine and Europe’s security on their own.
