China threatens stern response following Britain's sanctions against Putin's allies
China threatens Britain with a harsh response after the country imposed sanctions on Chinese companies, according to the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom.
The diplomatic mission of the People's Republic of China urged the British government to "correct its mistakes" after imposing sanctions on Chinese companies.
The embassy stated it "firmly opposes the British side's actions" accusing the country's government of violating international law.
"Any action that harms China's interests will be met with firm response," the embassy declared.
They added that China has "maintained an objective, fair position" on "Ukrainian issue."
Britain's sanctions
Today, December 6, Britain imposed sanctions on individuals and entities financing the military machine of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Specifically, restrictions targeted three Chinese companies: Asia Pacific Links Limited, Sinno Electronics Co., Limited, and Xinghua Co. Limited. These companies supply sub-sanctioned goods to Russia that the aggressor country could use for military purposes.
The sanctions were not only imposed on Chinese companies but also on Belarusian, Serbian, Turkish, Uzbek, and UAE entities.
