The Chinese government called on participants in the Middle East conflict to "cease military actions, prevent further escalation of tensions," Sky News reports.
It is noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China called on all sides involved in the Iranian conflict to cease military actions and prevent further escalation.
The US and Israeli strikes against Iran violated international law, and Beijing is deeply concerned about spillover effects on neighbouring countries, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning.
According to her, the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Persian Gulf states must remain inviolable, and China supports all countries in strengthening communication.
Yesterday, March 1, China's rhetoric was harsher. Thus, Beijing condemned strikes by Israel and the United States on Iran, calling them "unacceptable."
"The attack and killing of Iran's supreme leader is a grave violation of Iran's sovereignty and security. China firmly opposes and strongly condemns it," a statement of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
